Purpose statement
DRAFT – for legal review, not published. As of 22 Oct 2026. The wording in the box is binding (product specification) and identical to the text in the app. The German version is binding.
Horento is an application for documenting medicine intakes and for reminders of points in time that are based solely on information entered by the user (e.g. from the package leaflet or a doctor's instruction). Horento does not calculate doses, gives no therapy, dosing or intake recommendations, does not check interactions and makes no diagnoses. Horento does not replace medical or pharmaceutical advice.
What this means for you
- Horento only calculates with values you enter yourself, for example a minimum interval, a daily maximum or an intake schedule. The app's hints therefore read "according to your entries, at the earliest at …" or "according to your stored rule".
- Horento does not suggest a dose, not even from weight or age. You may store weight and age as a free note at most; they are not used in any calculation.
- Horento contains no medicine database with dosages and checks no interactions or contraindications.
- You can record an intake even if the app points out that your own rule would be exceeded. The entry is then marked. The app does not stop you, because you may have a medical instruction that differs from your rule.
- For questions about medicines, dosage or symptoms, contact a doctor or pharmacist; in an emergency call the emergency services.
